Well…I have started a blog!
The question is why me and why this blog?
I work for a company called FormulaFolio Investments on the Business Development team as a Business Development Consultant. It is a firm when I first started had roughly 300m in AUM, now 3 years later we are knocking on the door of $1.6 billion in Aum. We work with about 250 advisors across the country and continue to grow.
Now I am hesitant in saying that because the last thing I want you to think is that I started this blog to add you to a call list and become this person that will just not stop calling you. I am not going to convince you to work with FormulaFolios but I won’t stop it either.
That couldn’t be the farthest from the truth! So…why the blog then!
I started this blog because since I have been in this industry I have realized how far behind this industry is when it comes to marketing.
I find it amazing that we still use Mailers, newspaper ads, and dinner seminars. Does this stuff work, yes, but does it have the best ROI?
My goal for is to show you another way that you can add to your practice to help 10x your practice through the use of the internet.

I want to help advisor understand how to use “on the line” (movie quote) through weekly blog post breaking everything down.
Yes…I am young and yes I have only been in the industry for 3 years but some of you may see that as a negative, I see it as a fresh pair of eyes on an industry that is about 10 years behind what everyone else is doing.
During my 3 years, I have been able to work alongside some of the top advisors in this field. I have been able to be coached by people like Jason Wenk (jasonwenk.com) and Ryan Wheless (alliedwealth.com). Who have both built extremely successful practices.
The obvious next question is what makes me qualified to give online marketing advice?
I have not only gotten lucky to spend time with the top advisors online but have worked hard and been certified in things such as content marketing, customer value optimization, email marketing and customer acquisition.

I know, I know, your probably thinking this is a blog that will probably post for a couple months and die off or maybe if we are lucky post once a year.
My promise to you is, I will post once a week and my hope is that these blog post will help good financial advisors that have the client’s best interest in mind, grow. I will provide you guys with good quality content that you guys can plug into your practice.
